Restaurant
The restaurant section consists of two cozy halls and a kitchen. The halls are decorated in soft tones, all windows face the sea.
The restaurant's thematic focus is on signature cuisine, a mix of Estonian products, Baltic flavors, Scandinavian style, and French techniques. All of this together is what KOGU (Estonian for "community") is about.
"It's very important for me to find truly high-quality products. Whenever possible, I purchase products from Estonian farmers and suppliers. For example, the traditionally salted sprat I buy from a farmstead in Saaremaa, trout from the Pähkla farm, quail from the Järveotsa farm, cheeses from Andre Farm, and organic Estonian buckwheat from Raplamaa"
Pavel Gurjanov
renowned chef of KOGU Resto ja Pagar
The brick building that now houses the restaurant belonged to the Malakhov family at the end of the 19th century. They were engaged in fishing and were the keepers of the secret of the real "Tallinn sprat". During the Soviet era, there was a sprat production factory here. We have immortalized the memory of the building's history in our famous sprat sandwich.
